Project Background
When world-famous chef Guy Fieri and renowned restauranteur Robert Earl started the Chicken Guy, it was founded upon a basic philosophy:
“If you're going to eat fried chicken, eat great fried chicken”.
Agility Retail was brought in to the project for the new concept's first location in Disney Springs, Lake Buena Vista, FL, to execute the unique and fun restaurant aesthetic designed by api(+).
Project Highlights
The art/décor package was complex and included several 3-dimensional lettering elements, murals, an interchangeable sauce menu, and a life-size image of Guy Fieri for restaurant patrons to take selfies with while waiting in line.
The element that we are most proud of is the colorful hand-painted chicken logo on the brick wall inside the seating area. The owners wanted the graphic to be authentic-looking, not created with vinyl or using “digital magic”. Agility Retail hired a local graffiti artist to hand-paint the graphic on the bricks.
The results were a fantastic graphic element that Guy Fieri often poses with (since the chicken in the logo has an uncanny resemblance to the namesake!).
Customer Success
The Chicken Guy has since taken off, and it continues to open new locations using a franchise model. Several of them are in marquee locations such as Harrah’s Atlantic City, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, FedEx Field, Levi’s Stadium, and Hollywood, CA.
They all resemble the look and feel of the first store in Disney Springs. Agility Retail continues to partner and grow alongside the Chicken Guy.
